“xXx 3: The Return of Xander Cage”: Sad detail sheds new light on the best part of the series

The action film series with Vin Diesel is often ridiculed tiredly, but offers the audience many spectacular stunts that even claimed a human life in “xXx: Triple X”. In part 3, protagonist Xander Cage pays tribute to the deceased.

Muscle-packed, tattooed from top 123Movie. bottom and with a preference for beautiful women, fast cars and fur coats, Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) is often laughed at when compared to other action heroes. In any case, you shouldn’t take the “xXx” franchise too seriously – the series is supposed to be just fun anyway.

And for that, among other things, elaborate action scenes should also be provided, which were largely filmed “on location” and not simply animated in the studio. Vin Diesel’s stuntman lost his life while filming the first part:

Diesel double Harry O’Connor died while filming “Triple X” in April 2002 when he crashed into a bridge while filming a parasailing scene.

It was the second take of that scene after the first shot was taken without any problems – and ultimately found its way into the film.

Homage in “Triple X 3”

The incident reminds one that even for entertaining films that are not always meant seriously, people still risk their lives every day. Especially with films in which the heroes seem invulnerable (Xander Cage is by no means Vin Diesel’s only role that shows superhuman tendencies), that’s exactly what you can forget.

As a reminder of the tragic accident and homage to his former stuntman, Vin Diesel wears Harry O’Connor’s name as a tattoo on his leg in “xXx 3: The Return Of Xander Cage”.

Is “The Return Of Xander Cage” worth it?

Apart from this sad detail, the third “Triple X” movie is pretty gaga – although in this case it is actually meant as a compliment. Because even if every second of the action adventure is so over the top, the whole thing is somehow very funny.

The review for “3: The Return Of Xander Cage”

The fact that “The Return Of Xander Cage” is even the best film of the series for us is not least due to the diverse, but sometimes quite absurd cast: In addition to the returnees Vin Diesel and Samuel L. Jackson, you also get the Martial – Arts aces Donnie Yen and Tony Jaa, Oscar winner Toni Collette, “Vampire Diaries” star Nina Dobrev, ex-Batwoman Ruby Rose, Bollywood star Deepika Padukone and soccer player Neymar.
