German “Tenet” cinema release well assured: then advance sales should begin

After several postponements, Christopher Nolan’s new film “Tenet” is due to start in Germany in August 2020, before the USA. This is now underpinned by an appointment for ticket sales.

As the first big blockbuster after the cinema closings, Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” is supposed to play a key global role in the revitalization of the cinema business during the Corona period. In the US, the most important cinema market, the sci-fi thriller will be shown in selected cinemas from the beginning of September.

But because Corona is somewhat under control outside of the USA, “Tenet” is actually being put on the big screen a little earlier in many other countries, in which the majority of movie theaters have reopened under certain conditions (without a parallel VoD alternative such as Disney in the case of “Mulan”).

Going to the cinema in times of Corona: “Interstellar” by Christopher Nolan gives hope

The fact that people are really serious in this country, although the film has previously been postponed several times, is now demonstrated by the setting of a date from which tickets for the film can already be bought:

Advance sales for “Tenet” tickets in Germany will begin on Wednesday, August 12th, 2020. The film will then be in cinemas exactly two weeks later, on Wednesday, August 26th.

“Tenet” preview at “Inception” re-performances

Even before “Tenet” flickers across the screen, Christopher Nolan’s ten-year-old masterpiece “Inception” will be shown again in selected cinemas from August 14th. The performances even go a bit beyond the mere film showing. In this context, among other things, material from “Tenet” that has not yet been shown will be shown.

This is of course special insofar as the exact plot of the film – as usual with Nolan – is still kept a big secret. All that is known so far is that the main character embodied by John David Washington (“BlacKkKlansman”) is diving into the world of international espionage in order to avert great disaster, in which time does not seem to follow the usual laws.
